Shreya says that she was very ambitious as a kid and wanted to make her parents & her nation proud one day. Her parents and friends had always believed in her potential to bring back a crown for her country, and that has been her greatest encouragement and the reason why she stepped ahead to audition for Miss India. Being born in 1994, the same year when India got both the international crowns home by women who Shreya looks up to has been one of the driving forces for her to represent her nation and make it proud.

Shreya completed her schooling from St. Soldier's Convent School and went to college at National Dental College and Hospital.she is currently still studying, but, that would not hamper her duties and responsibilities as Miss Intercontinental India 2018. Shreya also enjoys swimming, and reading.

At the same event Meenakshi Chaudhary (Haryana) was crowned Miss Grand India 2018, and Anukreethy Vas was crowned Miss India 2018. They will now represent India at the Miss Grand 2018 and Miss World 2018 pageants respectively.

Bollywood divas, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kareena Kapor Khan performed live at the finale, and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar was seen joining Jacqueline on stage as well. The finale was full of pizzazz as Ayushman Khurrana and Karan Johar hosted the event.

The finalists performed beautifully for the talent round, after which the Top 12 finalists were announced. The Top 12 finalists were Andhra Pradesh - Shreya Rao Kamavarapu, Chhattisgarh - Spandana Palli, Delhi - Gayatri Bhardwaj, Haryana - Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jharkhand - Stefy Patel, Karnataka - Bhavana Durgam Reddy, Manipur - Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Meghalaya - Mary Khyriem, Mizoram - Lily Lalremkimi Darnei, Odisha- Shrutiksha Nayak, Punjab - Anna Kler, and Tamilnadu - Anukreethy Vas.

We wish the winners all the very best for the upcoming international pageants.
