Mumbai, the city of dreams will host the annual Miss India Worldwide for its 24th edition. Indian delegates from over 35 countries are participating at the beauty pageant, the finals of which are scheduled to be held on September 5’ 2015. And you would be surprisingly elated to know that the very beautiful Apeksha Porwal, who was also the Miss Delhi 2015 and finalist of Miss India 2015, is one of the contestants at the pageant.
Apeksha, at a tender age of 16 won the MTV Teen Diva 2009 and also represented India at the Miss Teen India International 2009 in Chicago. She is actively involved with a social venture, Janta Meals,a startup that sells affordable and nutritious food in slum areas. She was one of the favourites at the Miss India 2015 pageant, but couldn’t make it to the crown.
The week long festivities of Miss India Worldwide 2015 kicked off on August 31. The contestants attended the welcome reception and sahsing ceremony in Mumbai’s club – Kitty Su at the Lalit Hotel. The girls also headed for a tour of Mumbai as part of their Preliminary Competition. The reigning Miss India Worldwide is Monica Gill,who is currently seen at another Indian reality show named India’s Next Top Model.
