Abisag Aguilar is the new Miss Intercontinental Hondruras 2019 and she will be representing Honduras for the title of Miss Intercontinental 2019. 

At the age of 16, Abisag was discovered by a talent scout at the National Autonomous University of Honduras. She was invited by the talent scout Yoyo Barrientos to model on a catwalk. Later, the 20-year-old model stepped into the world of model agencies in the country including C2 Model Management.

The 20-year old model combines her modeling with her work at the Honduras Energy Company and is also a student of the Electrical Engineering degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. The model has aimed to finished her studies and would like to become an internationally recognized couture catwalk model. Abisag said that she has learnt a lot and grown as a person at her workplace.

Abisag feels the modeling as a career is enriching to her because it has helped her to know herself, to face challenges and discover. She also mentioned that modeling has influenced her safety, her capacity of oral and body development. Abisag feels that modeling has helped her in understanding that if you’re willing to put effort and are dedicated toward a goal, you can go very far.

Abisag mentioned in an interview that the modeling industry in the country is going through the process of development partly because of the stereotypes that the media sell to the people are unreal and negative. They affect the youth in a way that they feel that being thin is the aim.

The 20-year-old model who is all set to represent Hondruras for the title of Miss Intercontinental 2019 has already experienced various facets into modeling. The finale of Miss Intercontinental 2019 will be held on 20th December 2019 in Egypt where Karen Gallman of Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
