The Miss Intercontinental organization has officially announced Costa Rica’s delegation for the upcoming edition recently. Dayanna Watson will be representing the country at the 50th anniversary edition of the Miss Intercontinental competition.

Dayanna was crowned as Miss Intercontinental Costa Rica 2022 at a recent ceremony, ‘Noche de Reinas’, hosted by The Finalists organization. “I can't explain the happiness I feel in my heart, the emotion for this opportunity to be Costa Rica in Miss Intercontinental pageant,” she shared.

Watson also added, “Thank you for allowing me to be the voice of those who due to life circumstances have not had equal opportunities and to be able to demonstrate that we are our actions and not our circumstances. Because we are capable, because in this world we all have room to shine!”

Not new to pageantry, Dayanna was a part of the first edition of The Finalists Costa Rica, where she didn't get a crown, but because of her constant work and dedication, she has now earned the opportunity to be Costa Rica at an international platform.

Watson is an experience model and has impressed everyone with her skills and personality, being more than ready to represent the country. She succeeds Marianella Chavez Serrano, who represented the country at Miss Intercontinental 2021, where even though she finished unplaced, the diva won the Miss Photogenic award.

Dayanna will now prepare for her international stint for the Miss Intercontinental 2022 crown. Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obenita of Philippines won the 49th edition of the international pageant and will crown her successor at the end of the finale of the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant.
