Veronika Volkeova (Age – 22 Years) was awarded the title of third runner-up at Miss Czech Republic 2017 and consequently titled Miss Intercontinental Czech Republic 2018. Veronika is a student of geography at Charles University in Prague. With an interest in maps and nature and processes of earth, Veronika also wishes to work with Renewable energy.
Before her international representation, Veronika takes out time to talk about her dreams, ambitions, childhood and guilty pleasures in an exclusive interview with Angelopedia.
Q. How does it feel to be Miss Intercontinental Czech Republic 2018 and now a delegate of MissIntercontinental2018?
I am so proud, that I can represent my country in the world. It was my biggest dream to inspire other people, and now I am more visible and I can help to people and things who need it the most.
Q. What is the best lesson you’ve learnt in your journey as the delegate and then the third runner-up of Miss Czech Republic 2017?
This beauty pageant has given me so many experiences. Thanks to our director Tatana Makarenko, who was at many world beauty pageants as a contestant, we have had the best practice.
Q. What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
My family and the closest friends around me are the best thing that keeps me going.
Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the international stage of Miss Intercontinental 2018?
I would like to show the best of me. I would like to inspire other people and help other people thanks to this beauty pageant.
Q. Who is your ideal, if any and what values of theirs do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?
My ideal is our director because she is so young and she has got so many experiences in this world. She did a lot in her life, for her beauty pageant, so she really inspires me.
Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?
I would go far away from my country, to see another place and culture. I can’t do this right now, because it is so expensive to travel the world.
Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?
Most of my special memories comes from the times, when I was at children’s camp. There was no electricity, no shower, nothing. We slept in tents and we had to make food by yourself. I learnt a lot of things there and I had a chance to know, how hard is a life for children in poor countries.
Q. What or who empowers you to be yourself and work hard every day?
Just myself, because I want to be the best and only I can do this. My mind is the most important and it empowers me the most.
Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
It is not hard to label one thing. It is definitely nachos with cheese sauce.
Q. We’re sure that this competition is another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?
To this day, my biggest achievement was being 3rd runner up in Miss Czech Republic. But I want always the most. I would like to be a part of Miss Intercontinental whole year that is my biggest dream right now.
Q. If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?
The first one is, I want that every person on this planet could be happy and healthy. The second one is, that there won’t be any wars in the world. And the last one is, that if our environment could be more clear.
Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?
I am so happy, that you can meet me closer thanks to this interview. I hope, that you will like me and that you will support me in my way to Miss Intercontinental 2018.
