The Miss Intercontinental organization has officially announced New Zealand’s delegation for the upcoming edition recently. Rovelyn Milford will be representing the country at the 50th anniversary edition of the Miss Intercontinental competition. She succeeds Miss Intercontinental New Zealand 2021 Arielle Keil for the title.

The 23 year-old diva also took to her social media to share the news as she wrote, “We are going Intercontinental! I am humbled and honoured to represent New Zealand at the 50th Miss Intercontinental later this year. I am excited to take you on this journey with me. I hope to make you guys proud and our nation of 5 million.”

Not new to pageantry, Rovelyn was crowned at the Philippines-New Zealand 2016 and later she participated in Miss Earth New Zealand 2018 and was adjudged as the Miss Air New Zealand 2018. For Rovelyn, competing in pageants had been a dream since she was about 5 years-old and now representing her country at an international platform has definitely taken it to another level for her.

The diva hails from a Filipino and New Zealand heritage. She wants to inspire New Zealand's diverse community to work together and respect one another. She also hopes to inspire young women to find their confidence and use their voice as pageants had helped her do so.

Rovelyn will now prepare for her international stint and given her experience, drams and passion, she can definitely be a strong delegate for the Miss Intercontinental 2022 crown. Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obenita of Philippines won the 49th edition of the international pageant on 29th October 2021 at Hotel Sunrise Diamond Beach resort, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. She will crown her successor at the end of the finale of the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant.
