Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2023 Iona Gibbs has touched down in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt to represent her country at Miss Intercontinental 2023. At the finale, Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc from Vietnam will crown her successor as the new Miss Intercontinental.

On landing in Egypt, Iona Gibbs took to her official social media as she expressed her happiness in a post captioned, “Touchdown, Sharm El Sheikh Egypt! After a 20-hour travel journey, feeling the warmth of both the Egyptian sun and the amazing people i’ve met so far has been such an incredible experience! I am more than ready to begin raising our flag here at our gorgeous little paradise, and I cannot wait to bring you all along on the ride.”

Iona is a Filipino-Canadian beauty queen who was born in San Juan City. Her family moved to Canada when she was 2. She grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, but her family moved around a lot growing up. Iona finished her elementary education in Canada and then moved back to the Philippines in 2015 where she finished high school at MIT International School in Alabang.

Iona is currently completing her degree at DLSU, specifically Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science, major in Organizational and Social Systems Development. Iona will definitely be a strong representative of Philippines at Miss Intercontinental 2023 with her strong and charming personality and strong oratory skills.

Miss Intercontinental 2023, the 51st edition of the international pageant, will be held on 15th December 2023 in Egypt where Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc from Vietnam will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
