16 Oct 2018 | Irina Silva

Zoë Amber Niewold has been confirmed as the new Miss International Netherlands 2018 by the official Facebook page of Miss International Organization. She will now represent the Netherlands in Miss International 2018 to be held on 9th November 2018 in Japan where Miss International 2017 Kevin Lilliana will crown her successor.

Zoë is 20 years of age and stands spectacularly tall with a height of 183 cm and is expected to be one of the tallest candidates in Miss International this year. She is a model with two different agencies named Monique Sluyter Models and Star*L-Models. Zoë also works as a hostess and a presenter by profession.

Zoë is currently studying Communication and Multimedia Designing in Hanzehogeschool Groningen. She is no stranger to the pageant world as she has participated in Miss World Netherlands 2016 where she was adjudged the first runner-up. This prior experience will obviously help her during the finale.

The official Facebook post of the Miss International Organization read, “Road to the crown! Zoë Amber Niewold has been recently appointed as the new Miss International Netherlands. Zoë is expected to be the tallest delegate this year at 183 cm. Their last crown was won 57 years ago! Do you think it's time to have another Dutch maiden to win the Miss International crown? Zoë took to her social media account to announce the confirmation and said, “I can finally announce that I am Miss International Netherlands. The 19th of October I will fly out to Tokyo for 3 weeks to represent the Netherlands in the Miss International pageant. I am so honoured and excited. Thanks to my national director Katia Maes for this amazing opportunity. Tokyo, see you in two weeks!”

Zoë succeeds Miss International Netherlands 2017 Nathalie Mogbelzada, who, unfortunately, was not able to make a mark in the finale of Miss International 2017 where she represented the Netherlands. The last time the Netherlands won the title of Miss International was 57 years ago when Miss International Netherlands 1961 Stam van Baer became Miss International 1961.
