The Miss International Spain organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition on 23rd September 2021 where Angela Ropero, popularly known by her stage name, Julianna Ro was crowned as Miss International Spain 2021. She succeeds Miss International Spain 2019 Claudia Cruz for the title and will represent Spain at the upcoming 60th edition of Miss International pageant.

27 years-old Julianna from Andalucia, is studying an MBA in Business Administration specialized in fashion. In addition, as she herself said in her speech, she is a singer, songwriter, and pianist and loves illustration and playing sports. After winning the crown, she took to her social media to share, “Family… WE GOT IT!  I am still in a cloud, I am assimilating everything I experienced last night and all the journey that awaits us together. You do not know how satisfying it is that your effort and work is rewarded.”

“Never stop fighting, dreams come true and everything comes. Now it's time to keep working more and more to leave Spain in style,” she added. Talking about her stage name she shared, “My father's name was Julián and he was an ATS and also a self-taught musician. He had his own studio at home. When I thought about dedicating myself to music, I always said that my stage name should be Julianna. What's more, the first song I wrote was about my father.”

Second maid of honor: Laura Boado Ferna´ndez from Galician

Sharing her preparations of over the past months, Julianna mentioned, “I have been learning Japanese for months because it is a contest that is held in Japan, in addition to being a country that I love, and it seemed like the perfect occasion. I have also been taking public speaking classes, makeup classes, hairdressing, catwalk and a bit of everything.”

Angela Ropero aka Julianna Ro will now represent Spain at the 60th Miss International pageant to be held in Japan. The Miss International 2021 pageant was cancelled amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the 60th Miss International Beauty Pageant, the next edition will be held in the fall of 2022.
