Iran to debut in Miss Universe under Miss Iran 2018 Shirin Heidari’s delegation

Miss Iran official recently announced Shirin Heidari’s delegation as she was crowned Miss Iran 2018 and became the official representative of Iran in Miss Universe 2019. This will be a historic year for the country as it debuts in the coveted pageant.

As ten ladies competed for the national title, Shirin Heidari was ultimately given the crown. Born in Tehran, Shirin is 27 years old and graduated in architecture and engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She also currently works as a software engineer at one of Australia's most prestigious Australian companies in Sydney.

Fluent in Farsi and English, Shirin wishes to compete with and to help Iranian women and girls achieve their rights and social freedom with the position they have earned. She also believes that strong and bright women create an enlightened future which will further promote cultural development in the next generation and bring prosperity and progress to the Iranian community.

The official social media of Miss Iran also announced the news in a post, “We are very excited to introduce Miss Iran 2018 Shirin Heydari. We hope you be successful on the international stage and bring a new title for Iran and Iranian people.

Paniz Rahnama was adjudged the first runner-up and was also awarded the title of Most Talent contestant while Helia Jalilnezhad won the title of Miss Teen 2018 and was adjudged the 2nd Runner of the competition. She was also the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Hoda Nick was awarded the title of 3rd Runner Up and the Most Beautiful Face.
