Miss Maryland USA 2019 held their event finale on 28th October 2018. At the conclusion of event, Mariela Pepin was crowned the new winner and will therefore represent her state, Maryland, in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year. If she manages to win Miss USA 2019, she will have earned the right to represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019 to be held next year.

Mariela is 22 years of age and is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Towson University. She is passionate about public speaking and volunteering for causes. Apart from that, Mariela is also interested in learning different languages and currently she can speak fluently in French and Spanish, apart from her mother tongue. She also recently started learning American Sign Language.

Mariela wants to obtain a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Communications in the future and also wishes to work and travel the world as a Marketing and Public Relations Director for international charities. Her interest in volunteering sparked from seeing her parents contributing and working with charities.

This beautiful American beauty is no stranger to the pageant world as she was crowned Miss Teen Maryland USA in the year 2014, making her one of the few six women who have held both titles for the state of Maryland. Her prior experience and her dedication towards those in need will definitely make her a prominent figure in the finale of Miss USA 2019.
