Julia Scaparotti was crowned as Miss Massachusetts USA 2017 during the state finale held on Sunday 20th November 2016 at Lowell Auditorium, Lowell, MA. Julia defeated 106 other contestants to bag the crown of Miss Massachusetts USA 2017. Ecstatic about the title, Julia says, "Becoming Miss Massachusetts USA has always been a dream of mine."

Massachusetts has not been one of the successful states in terms of number of placements or semi-finalists, their fortune has just improved in recent years when Shawnae Jebbia was crowned Miss USA in 1998 and Susie Castillo won the crown in 2003.

During the coronation gala of Miss Massachusetts USA 2017, Amanda Soucy was titled as the first runner-up, Gabrielle Tavaras was adjudged as the second runner up, Heidi Duran was announced as the third runner up and Allison DeJesus finished as the fourth runner-up. At the same event, Caitlyn Martin bagged the Miss Teen Massachusetts USA 2017 crown and she will represent Massachusetts at Miss Teen USA 2017, wherein Karlie Hay of Texas will crown her successor.
The beauty works as an Assistant Digital Media Planner in the Media Hub division of Mullen Lowe advertising agency and spends nights and weekends around New England hosting and reporting for NESN’s Dirty Water TV. Julia also works for the Miss Pink organization as the Media Relations Manager and as a host of NESN’s entertainment news show, she has covered a variety of events and fundraisers.
The delegate likes extreme sports, she has bungee jumped in the Swiss Alps, jumped off the tallest building in Las Vegas, zip-lined, and has even gone swimming with sharks.
Everyone is looking forward to Julia Scaparotti to bring the coveted crown of Miss USA to Massachusetts. The Miss USA 2017 pageant will be held in June 2017 and Julia is sure to make her state proud.
