Alejandra Díaz de León was crowned Miss Mexico 2023 at the finale held at the Teatro Morelos, Michoacán on 15th April 2023. She succeeds Miss Mexico 2021 Karolina Vilades and is currently preparing to represent Mexico at Miss World 2023. Alejandra Díaz de León is 24 years of age and 178 cm tall. She has a degree in Spanish-American Language and Literature from the University of San Luis Potosí and is a professional model and entrepreneur with a restaurant in SLP by profession.

León’s BWAP project ‘Once Upon a Time’ sets up libraries in schools in rural communities, giving the children the opportunity to seek personal and professional development. The project also supports inspiring new undiscovered writers by awarding them with grants. Once Upon a Time has already collected roughly around 1,500 books and distributed them to communities. The children in these communities were also given reading and writing workshops.

Alejandra, on representing her country at Miss World, wrote, “I can't fit in my heart the pride, happiness and gratitude that I feel for carrying this title. It's been years of work, focus and perseverance that are reflected today. I'd like to tell you that we're there, that we've made it, but the truth is that this adventure is barely beginning. We're off to Miss World!”

Not new to the pageant world, Alejandra held the Top 4 position at Miss World Mexico 2019 and also participated in Miss Globe 2019 which she won. With her stunning beauty, her charming personality and her strong advocacy, Alejandra will surely be a front runner for Miss World 2023 crown to be held in India.

Miss World 2023, the 71st edition of Miss World, will be held on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
