The 29th edition of Miss Model of the World concluded with the crowing of Liliia Halushko from Ukraine. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Model of the World 2016, Anna Aleksandra Adela Merimaa from Finland. This 20-year-old queen stands tall at 180 cm and is the second winner from Ukraine after Mariya Lakimuk, who won the title in 2008.

The contest was held at China Folk Culture Villages Theme Park in Nanshan, Shenzhen, on Saturday. The splendid night of the finale saw an audience of whooping 6000 people, who appreciated the performances of 61 contestants participating from 5 continents. The pageant’s theme for this year was “Build Beautiful China and Beautiful Shenzhen, Help the Silk Road Countries’ Inter-connection and Inter-work.” The aim of Miss Model of the World is to spread beauty, enhance friendship, strengthen cooperation and promote peace.

Apart from the prestigious crown, the winner of the night also received a sceptre and a trophy from Mr.Zhang Jie, the president and secretary of the party committee of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation.

Second Runner-up - Angelina Chmel from Tatarstan

Third Runner-up - Sophia Sergio from Italy

Fourth Runner-up - Marylin Nicolle Saldana Condezo from Peru
