The Promociones Gloria organization and the organization Reinas de Bellezas of Paraguay hosted an intimate coronation ceremony for Miss Mundo Paraguay 2021 on 27th September 2021 at the Gran Nobile Hotel & Convention in Ciudad del Este, where Bethania Belén Borba Rodríguez was crowned as the new sovereign by Miss World Paraguay 2019 Araceli Bobadilla.
Born in the city of Presidente Franco, Alto Paraná department, Bethania is 18 years-old and is currently pursuing a degree in Marketing and Advertising, in the segment of digital commercial influence, for which she has won important contracts with renowned multinational companies stationed in the country. She attended her primary and secondary studies at the private school Espíritu Santo in the same city, where she ventured into the world of beauty, participating in various competitions representing her institution as a student queen.
Likewise, at the age of ten, she began in the media, when she was invited to participate in television auditions broadcast through Red Guaraní. At the age of 14, she was the host of an educational children's program, broadcast over the course of a year, by the TV Cable Paraná signal.
In 2017, she participated for the first time in a district beauty contest, being proclaimed sovereign of her hometown President Franco, in the Teen category, earning the right to represent her municipality in the framework of a national competition where she was placed in the Top 5, rising with the title of Second Finalist.
After being crowned as the new queen, Borba took to her social media as she wrote, “Officially we are heading to one of the most important contests in the world where I will not be Bethania, but PARAGUAY. We are going for EVERYTHING, with a lot of preparation even if the time is very short. I look forward to the support of all of you. Taking this beautiful nation high! Today, I am PARAGUAY before the world.”
In the last edition, Araceli Bobadilla represented Paraguay at Miss World 2019, where she qualified among the Top 40 finalists. Bethania Borba will represent Paraguay at the 70th edition of Miss World, i.e., Miss World 2021 to be held on 16th December 2021 in Coca Cola Music Hall, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Paraguay is yet to pioneer its win at the Miss World pageant.
