Sarah Mousseau crowned as Miss New Hampshire USA 2017

Sarah Mousseau won the title of Miss Hampshire during the state finale held on October 30, 2016 and will move on to represent Hampshire in the national pageant of Miss USA 2017. On winning the crown, Sarah says, "My first thought was, 'Oh my god, I have a meeting I need to be at in the morning for work. After that, I felt that everything I had worked so hard for the past few years had finally fallen into place. With the title of Miss NH USA, I would work to develop closer ties with the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire."

Sarah has been working hard chasing her dreams of representing the great state of New Hampshire as the next Miss NH USA and she said she would need help from the public too. Sarah is a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, and having grown up in the Granite State, Sarah really looks forward to give back to and representing her community.

Sarah has competed in the Miss New Hampshire for five years and has placed in top 10 in 2010, won a non-finalist in 2011, 2nd runner-up in 2012& 2013, and top 10 again in 2014. New Hampshire has had little success at Miss USA, and has only placed four times. Two of those placements have been in the past 10 years, with Bridget Vezina placing 1st runner-up to Lynnette Cole at Miss USA 2000, and the semi-finals placement of Vanessa Bissanti at Miss USA 2004.

Sarah is a graduate from Boston University and has achieved a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. The beauty is currently working as a Speech Pathologist at a private practice in southern Maine. Her professional interests include working with patients with voice disorders, dysphasia, and traumatic brain injuries. She enjoys having the opportunity to work with all populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The beautiful delegate is very determined to achieve her Doctorate one day.

Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing, acting, running, and being outdoors, in her free time. She is looking forward to the year ahead as Miss New Hampshire USA 2017and is excited to get involved with a variety of charitable organizations including Operation Smile and the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire.

Sarah Mousseau is truly honoured to represent her state at the Miss USA 2017 pageant. Everyone is looking forward to Sarah Mousseau to bring the coveted crown of Miss USA to Hampshire. The Miss USA 2017 pageant will be held in June 2017 and Sarah is sure to make her state proud.
