Georgia Waddington was crowned Miss New Zealand 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Sunday 18th June 2023 at Bruce Mason Centre. Georgia will now represent New Zealand at Miss International 2023 to be held on 26th October 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.

Georgia Waddington graduated at the International Travel College of New Zealand, with a passion for travel, meeting new people, and learning different cultures. Georgia also won several special awards such as Best in Evening Wear, Best in Swimwear, Miss Fitness, Top Model, Social Media Queen and, most importantly, Charity Queen, for her tireless work both in her fundraising and awareness raising efforts for I Am Hope and Brave.

On winning the national crown, Georgia took to her official social media as she wrote, “Overflowing with gratitude as I am crowned Miss New Zealand 2023! I am incredibly thankful to the judges for believing in me. This moment is a dream come true, made possible by the unwavering support from my loved ones, sponsors and the incredible cheer from all of you! I can’t wait to embrace the next incredible chapter as I prepare to represent New Zealand at Miss International 2023.”

Georgia Waddington succeeds and was crowned by Lydia Smit Miss New Zealand 2022 who represented New Zealand at Miss International 2022 but placed in Top 15. New Zealand holds one Miss International under its belt till now when Jane Hansen was crowned Miss International 1971.
