The finale of Miss North Carolina USA 2022 was held on 29th January 2022 at The High Point Theatre where Morgan Romano was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of North Carolina at Miss USA 2022. She succeeds and was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2021 Madison A. Bryant.

Morgan Romano gave a stellar performance at the state finale and was a crowd favourite since the beginning of the competition. Morgan hails from Charlotte and is a Chemical Engineer who graduated from University of North Carolina. Not new to the pageantry, she was first runner-up at Miss South Carolina 2019 for Miss America.

The newly crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2022 Morgan Romano’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Courtney Smith

2nd Runner-up – Kylee Russell

3rd Runner-up – Caroline Credle

4th Runner-up – Rebekah Holsenback

Along with the winner and her court, Top 10 also included Haleigh Jo Baker, Ana Acela Perez Ochoa, Olivia Fonville, Imani Cooper, Emma Knapp. Top 16 also included Amber Buergermeister, Katherine Finch (People’s Choice winner), Lauren Walsh, Jessica Howard, Keelie Jones, Emily Miner, Rachel McLain.

Also at the finale, Gabriela Ortega was crowned Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of North Carolina at Miss Teen USA 2022. Her court included Kailey Wadsworth, Katie Setzer, Juliet Smith, Madison Brewer who were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
