The organization of Miss Pakistan World announced that Aina Qureishi is Miss World Pakistan 2021 just hours ago and she will represent Pakistan at the international competition. The announcement was made via Miss Pakistan World’s official social media account and the organization stated that the competition was held virtually due to the pandemic.
Hailing from Rawalpindi, Aina is 23-years-old currently studying at a university in Ankara, Turkey, and is on a short-term school exchange program in Italy pursuing her education in the Bachelor of Education program. She is fluent in Urdu, English, German, Punjabi, Chinese, and a little bit of Turkish.
The Miss Pakistan World 2021 competition was held virtually, and when asked why she decided to compete, Aina stated, "For me, this has always been a dream ever since I was a young girl; the idea of being on a platform like Miss Pakistan World that so accords you with the respect and love of your nation, along with the responsibility of being a representative. I have always been a fan of platforms for the female perspective, as well as the strong women that such platforms have enabled. So, for me, it was not an ‘on-the-spur of the moment decision but something I always knew I had to do one day. "
Aina feels surreal now that she is going to represent her country at Miss World and is officially the 18th Miss Pakistan World. She felt overjoyed and deeply honoured to be in a manner the face of so many people, especially the youth, and wished to carry out her duties to represent them accurately and with dignity. It is a great responsibility and a great honour for Aina. She also stated that she admires all the queens who have represented the country in international competitions and that she would follow in their footsteps and do her best to make the country proud. Aina added, "I shall be looking to my predecessors for guidance too. But one thing I will do differently is that a lot of the past titleholders have opted to be crowned wherever they are based, but I will be traveling out of Italy to Pakistan so I can be crowned on Pakistani soil, which is very important to me. "
Sonia Ahmed, president of Miss Pakistan World, expressed her delight that they were able to hold a virtual pageant during the pandemic, and Aina Qureishi was crowned the 18th Miss Pakistan World. She also mentioned, "We have great plans for her for many international pageants. We want to change many things for the Miss Pakistan World pageant system, one of which is to acquire larger grounds in the pageant world. The 2021 year is a big year for us, as we have introduced and brought about a lot of changes. So, overall, I am personally very excited about this year! "
The crowning ceremony of Miss Pakistan World 2021 Aina Qureishi will be conducted in Lahore in the coming months as she prepares herself for the competition. She will be traveling around the world representing Pakistan in various international pageants as well as doing charity work for women’s rights and animal rights in Pakistan.
