Miss Palawan 2021 held its finale on 10th March 2021 at the Mendoza Amphitheater in Puerto Princesa City where the three winners were crowned to represent the province at their respective national competitions.
Linapacan’s bet Klaidel Hope Anderson Concepcion has been crowned Miss Palawan Universe 2021, Jamaica Venturillo representing Cagayancillo has been crowned Miss Palawan World 2021 and Xenia Ashley Bunio has been crowned Miss Palawan Earth 2021. Daena Yapparcon, and Marie Victoria Torres have been adjudged as first and second runners-up respectively.
Klaidel Hope Anderson Concepcion, the 23-year-old stunner bested 19 other contestants to win the Miss Palawan Universe 2021 title. She also bagged the Best in National Costume award. She is a graduate of Public Administration at the University of the Philippines-Diliman campus.
This is the fourth time Concepcion tried to win a crown as she was first seen as a fashionista queen in 2017. Then, she was seen at a local modelling competition, and later on joined soap pageant Miss Silka. She even competed at Miss Earth Philippines, to which she made it as finalist in the same year.
Jamaica Venturillo is taking home the first Miss Palawan World 2021 crown. She is a Palawan State University second year Political Science student and represented Cagayancillo at the competition. The 20-year-old stunner gave a second try at the pageant this year as she was Miss Palawan South in 2019.
On her win, Jamaica said, “So grateful and blessed, I wasn’t expecting to have one of those crowns, kasi no’ng una sabi ko kahit makapasok lang ako sa top 5, and then no’ng ando’n na ‘ko sa gitna mapahiya ako o hindi atleast binigay ko ‘yung kaya ko.”
Miss Puerto Princesa 2020 Xenia Ashley Bunio was crowned Miss Palawan Earth 2021 at the contest. The 22-year-old stunner is a Petroleum Engineering student from PSU. For her, winning the title was a dream come true. With her title, Xenia will be promoting and advocating conservation of wildlife.
On her win, Xenia said, “I am really overwhelmed right now, super thankful din ako nakakuha ako ng crown ngayon, it’s the crown I prayed before, I hope I could partner with Palawan Council for Sustainable Development, to promote my advocacy and to prepare for Miss Earth-Philippines, it’s the preservation and conservation of Palawan Pangolins, I want it to push if forward, ano kasi parang na-encapsulate niya ang pag promote ng tourism and to raise awareness on the impacts of our lifestyle to the environment.”
