Miss Portuguesa Organization came under the limelight recently as the organization dismissed Carla Rodrigues De Flaviis off of her title for what people are now labeling as ‘exploitation of freedom of speech’. The whole controversy has garnered a lot of attention but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons as the organization is being widely criticized for dismissing Carla for speaking her heart out.

As soon as the organization released the video, Carla took to her official Instagram to clarify her side of the story in the whole caught up controversy. She wrote, “Regarding the latest statements by the president of the Miss Portuguesa organization, Isidro Brito, in which he says that I never proposed a collection of medicines for Venezuela. It’s a lie, I proposed that my Beauty project for a cause was to work with an organization of Luso Venezuelan, with whom I communicated and were very receptive. The organization did not like the idea ‘for audiovisual themes.’”
