Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez was crowned Miss Reina Hispanoamerica Filipinas 2018 during the grand finale of Miss World Philippines 2018 held on 7th October 2018. Alyssa will now represent Philippines in Miss Reina Hispanoamerica 2018 to be held on 3rd November 2018 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
Alyssa was crowned by Miss Reina Hispanoamerica Filipinas 2017 Teresita Ssen Marquez. The pressure is really high for the new winner, as her predecessor, Teresita was the winner of Miss Reina Hispanoamerica 2017.
Alyssa is 22 years old and stands tall with a height of 167 cm. She graduated from the University of Asia and the Pacific where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. Alyssa is an award-winning singer as well and is advocating for the empowerment children who grew up abused and abandoned. She was also a part of Angelopedia’s Top 15 favourite contestants.
The event also saw the crowning of Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez by Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Victoria Lehmann, Miss Eco International Philippines 2019 Maureen Montagne by Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla, and Miss Multinational Philippines 2018 Kimilei Mugford by Miss Multinational 2017 Sophia Señoron. Chanel Morales and Pearl Hung became the 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively.
