Triple delight for the fans from the Philippines!

After Nelda Ibe of Philippines became the first runner-up in the Miss Globe 2017 on Friday night and Karen Ibasco of Philippines won the title of Miss Earth 2017 on Saturday night, Sunday morning comes the news of Teresita Ssen Marquez (aka Winwyn Marquez) winning the title of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017! That win is also special since it was the first ever participation of Philippines in the Hispanic-American pageant.

The finale of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 pageant was held on 4th November 2017 in Bolivia with 27 candidates competing to succeed the gorgeous last year winner María Camila Soleibe of Colombia. The 25-year-old Filipina beauty bested 26 other contestants to become the first Asian girl to win the title. Prior to the finale, she also won the special award of 'Chica Lpanema' and was also in the Top 3 finalists at the national costume contest.

At the same event, Akisha Albert of Curaçao was titled Virreina Hispanoamericana 2017. The runners-up were Laís Berté of Brazil (first runner-up), María Victoria D'Ambrosio Díaz of Venezuela (second runner-up), Karla María López Berumen of Mexico (third runner-up), and Katherine Añazgo Orozco of Bolivia (fourth runner-up).

Five of the six finalists were part of our Top 10 favourites to win the Reina Hispanoamericana title this year, so we are definitely not surprised with the results!
