The coveted beauty pageant of Dominican Republic, ‘Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2016’ (also known as Miss República Dominicana 2016) which is slated to be held on April 24’ at the Renaissance Festival Auditorium Hotel Jaragua, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has recently revealed their set of finalists.

This year a total number of 22 aspirants will take part at the pageant, and the names and the regions of the finalists are given below:

At the end of the gala finale of Miss Republica Dominicana 2016, the reigning queen, Clarissa Molina, who was among the Top 10 finalists at Miss Universe 2015, will pass on her reign and the prestigious crown to her successor.

One of these 22 contestants of Miss República Dominicana Universo 2016 will get the opportunity to represent Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2016. The first runner-up will represent Dominican Republic at Reina Hispanoamericana 2016.  Whereas, the second runner-up will go on to represent Dominican Republic at Miss United Continents 2016.

The total number of 22 finalists were introduced to the spectators in the Press Presentation held on April 11, 2016. The selected candidates of Miss Dominican Republic 2016 will take part in a charity event which is slated to be held on April 14, 2016. The Preliminary Competition of Miss República Dominicana Universo 2016 is set to take place on April 20, 2016.
