Miss Scotland 2018 finale date and venue out

Miss Scotland is a national Beauty pageant in Scotland. Entrants must hold a British passport to enter. The contest, whose title is owned by the Miss World organisation, is organised each year by The Scottish Sun newspaper.

The winner of the Miss Scotland competition, along with the winners of Miss England, Miss Northern Ireland and Miss Wales, can compete in Miss World. The highest-ranking competitor of the four constituent country entrants is then presented with the title and crown of Miss United Kingdom, and will later compete in Miss International. 

The official Facebook page of Miss Scotland, announced the date and venue for the finale night, on 17th January 2018. they then issues a recall of the same, and announced the finalised, and changed date and venue for the final on 20th February.

 

 

On 24 August 2017, Romy McCahill was crowned as Miss Scotland 2017 by Lucy Kerr Miss Scotland 2016 and represented her country at Miss World 2017.

The final regional of the Miss Scotland competition, Glasgow regional, was held on Sunday 28th January at the Corinthian Club. Current Miss Scotland, Romy McCahill, was also present as one of the Judges.

From 1961-1990, the winner of Miss Scotland would go on to compete at the Miss Universe pageant, usually held in the summer. She would then compete other top contenders from the regional competitions, at the Miss United Kingdom Pageant, with the winner of Miss UK going on to compete at the Miss World pageant in November. In 1999, after Scottish devolution, Miss Scotland was allowed to enter the Miss World pageant.

Miss Scotland has also been the most successful of the four UK nations at Miss World. Since 2000, the Miss UK title has gone to Miss Scotland seven times.

With the amount of history attached to it, and the success of the Scottish beauty queens. Miss Scotland 2018 would make up to be one glamorous, and eventful night to look forward to
