After facing criticism and harsh comments of the media and pageant enthusiasts, the finalists of Miss Singapore 2017 recently took part in the Charity Car Wash for the Singapore Red Cross. They looked quite confident and stylish than before.

The 19 beauties took part in the event by contributing to a good cause. They washed cars to raise funds for the Singapore Red Cross. Along with that, the girls also rode on Harley Davidson bikes along the streets of Orchard Temasek Boulevard.

The car wash was held on 6th Aug’17 at the Red Cross House at 15 Penang Lane, from 11 am to 6 pm. Salon cars and bikes got a wash at $20, while washes for sports utility vehicles and multi-purpose vehicles were priced at $30. Proceeds went to the Singapore Red Cross.

All in all, the event went successful and the finalists took part with full zest and interest. Last month, the contestants faced a lot of nasty comments from the netizens when an unofficial picture was posted online. The comments said that they were ugly and repulsive.

The prestigious Miss Singapore 2017 is heading towards its finale and the finalists are gearing up for the same by taking part in various activities. The pageant will present four winners under several big titles, who will then go on to represent Singapore internationally under each title.

The titles are Miss Singapore Tourism Queen, Miss Singapore Chinatown, Miss Singapore Global Beauty Queen and Miss Grand Singapore.
