Miss South Afirca 2015, is an annual national pageant of South Africa that selects representatives for Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. The Miss South Africa 2015 pageant conducted auditions all over the country and the Top 12 Miss South Africa finalists, who are vying for the title of Miss South Africa 2015, have been announced. The 12 finalists in alphabetical order are Busi Mahlangu, Chanelle Sardinha, Danelle De Wet, Gugulethu Banda, Kim Wentzel, Liesl Laurie, Nicole Lamberts, Ntsiki Mkihze, Refilwe Mthimunye, Shane Naidoo, Sihle Makhanya, and Taryn Morris. The finalists come from around varied countries - seven from Gauteng, three from the Western Cape and one each from Kwa-Zulu Natal and Mpumalanga. The winner will represent South Africa at both Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 pageants.
The standard idea about a “Beauty Queen” being judged only on her exterior beauty is certainly not relevant for Miss South Africa. The winner of Miss South Africa has to be involved in promotional work and celebrity appearances locally and abroad where she meets dignitaries, celebrities, the privileged, the underprivileged, the sick and the needy.
The current Miss South Africa, Ziphozakhe Zokufa, who took the title after her forerunner Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World, will crown her successor at the 2015 pageant. The Miss South Africa 2015 pageant is scheduled to be held at the Sun City Resort on March 29' 2015. Sun International is the license holder of Miss South Africa. The Miss South Africa 2015 finals will be televised live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic. The winner will represent South Africa at both Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 pageants.
