Miss South Africa 2018 will mark its 60th Diamond Jubilee anniversary this year and the spectacular event will be hosted on 27th May 2018, at Sun International’s new flagship venue, the Sun Arena at Times Square Casino, Pretoria.

This year 28 contestants have been selected to compete for the national title. The reigning Miss South Africa is Adè van Heerden who succeeded Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters after Demi went on to become Miss Universe 2017.

Also just in the news is Bonang Matheba, the trendsetting TV and radio star, author and philanthropist who will be joining this year’s pageant as their host. Matheba or Queen B as she is known affectionately has had a long history with the pageant as she was the member of the jury of Miss South Africa 2014.

“Having grown up watching the Miss South Africa pageant, I feel very honoured to be part of this two-hour spectacular in a year in which this South African institution celebrates a huge milestone anniversary”, Matheba happily exclaimed.

The top 12 finalists for the national title will be revealed on 3rd May 2018. The winner will take home more than R3 million in a bouquet of prizes that makes the competition one of the richest pageants in the world.
