Miss South Africa 2019 is all set to host its grand coronation night on 9th August 2019 at Times Square where sixteen gorgeous beauties will now compete for the national crown and the opportunity to represent South Africa in Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019. Tamaryn Green Miss South Africa 2018 and Miss World South Africa 2018 Thulisa Keyi will crown their successors at the conclusion of the finale.

While all the delegates have shown stupendous potential, there are a few who have stood out from the rest with their exemplary performances and bewitching aura. Here are our favourites, in no specific order, for the national title from the sixteen finalists competing for Miss South Africa 2019 –

Danielle Wallace

Danielle Wallace is a 26-year-old avid hiker and holder of a BSc degree from Cape Town. She worked in marketing as a brand manager before leaving to further her modelling career. This beauty is blessed with a fit and toned tall physique which enhances her overall look and makes her stand out from the rest.

Errin Brits

Errin Brits is a 22-year-old LLB student from Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg. Her role models include former public protector Thuli Madonsela and Peggy-Sue Khumalo, who was crowned Miss SA in 1996 and is now a successful businesswoman. With enchanting facial features, she is blessed with beautiful protruding eyes and a perfect Greek nose. Her mesmerising beauty is surely going to get her immense amount of attention at the finale.

Eloïse van der Westhuizen

This 24-year-old beauty is a merchandise planner from Panorama in Cape Town. She has a BCom honours degree from the University of Stellenbosch. The beauty has a tall hourglass figure and an enchanting fair complexion with endearing facial features such as the beautiful upturned nose, perfectly V-shaped jawline big almond-shaped eyes. With her mesmerising beauty, she will be able to have a great foothold in the finale.

Xia Narain

Xia Narain has walked runways in South Africa and Turkey and the 23-year-old from Chatsworth, Durban also teaches ramp walking. She is passionate about inspiring self-esteem at a modelling school. She also has a Bachelor Degree in Social Science and plans to do her honours in clinical psychology next year. She has a prepossessing personality that can make her stand out at the pageant with grace.

Zanele Phakathi

This 20-year-old beauty is a UJ student from Soweto. Affectionately known as Zaza, she has more than 70 pageant titles to her name. Zanele was involved in a car accident last year and lost the hearing in her left ear but hasn’t let it interfere with how she lives her life. With her vast experience, she will be able to perform outstandingly and secure a notable spot in the finale.

Chuma Matsaluka

Chuma Matsaluka is a 21-year-old from Nyanga, Cape Town who is in her third year of a BA Degree at UCT majoring in anthropology, industrial sociology, and political studies. She has a perfect fit and toned body which enriches her overall personality and with this, she will be able to procure any of the positions in the Top in the finale.

This year’s edition is surely having a lot of significance as South Africa has been performing consistently amazing in the past two years as Tamaryn Green who represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2018 ended up being the first runner-up and prior to that in the year 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, who represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2017 won the international crown and brought abundance of pride to the country. Since the country has secured notable spots in Miss Universe pageant in past two years, this puts a lot of pressure on the new queen who will be crowned in this national pageant as she has some big shoes to fill in.
