Miss South Africa 2020, the 62nd edition of Miss South Africa, will host its annual edition virtually in the month of August where the next delegate to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2020 will be crowned. South Africa’s performance at the international beauty pageants has been incredible as the divas have always proven their worth in the competition and with their remarkable performances, they have taken home multiple titles, especially in the recent years.

Rebuilt under ‘Face your power, embrace your future’, stunning beauties will compete for the crown and the opportunities to represent South Africa in Miss Universe 2020 and Miss World 2020. Just today, the Miss South Africa organization has announced that the three finalists who will be crowned at the end of the event finale will represent South Africa at international pageants including Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational.

While the official delegates are yet to be announced, there are a few beauties who have shown immense potential to be a part of this year’s national pageant. Catherine Rose has made it to our wish list along with being the official entrant to be a part of Miss South Africa 2020 with her stunning beauty and grace. She recently sent and uploaded her entry video for the pageant on her social media.

Hailing from the city of Cape Town, Catherine is 21-years-old and is a Visual Communication student majoring in graphic designing. She has always aspired to be a beauty queen and Miss South Africa 2020 stage will help her achieve her dream.

Catherine wants to use the platform to talk about and raise awareness about Mental Health as she feels that it is one of the important issues that needs all the attention as of now. She wants to educate the people and especially children that it’s okay not to be okay. She usually takes her social media account to talk about the mental health and believes that if given a chance she would like to make this grow more. She states, “I want to show those suffering from mental illness that there are the support structures in South Africa to help them and that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.”

Catherine also applied for Miss South Africa 2019 but couldn’t get in and in her entry, video mentions that since last year, she has grown as a model but more as a human being and would do justice to the crown if selected. She has worked with various designers, brands, and photographers in South Africa which has helped her to work on her skills and abilities to be a better beauty queen in future. She likes to challenge herself because she believes that a good challenge helps her to work harder and she is more focused.

The diva is gorgeous, has beautiful smile with super expressive exotic eyes and a hair colour which is quite different from her predecessors. She feels blessed and excited for the journey that would come ahead once she gets selected by the organization. Catherine wants to be a voice for both the voiceless and the people who are too scared to speak out. She wants to inspire the little girls and boys in her country and across the globe to set goals for themselves and achieve them - no matter what their background or circumstances are. “I am passionate, I am determined and I am ready”, she states. She is working on her on-stage walk, body postures and angles and most importantly on her interview skills which is very essential part of any beauty pageants. She is confident, beautiful, and very determined to get selected to compete at Miss South Africa 2020 and be able to win a chance to represent South Africa at international beauty pageants.
