Amber Hulse was crowned Miss South Dakota USA 2023 at the finale of the 67th edition of Miss South Dakota USA held on 11th June 2023 at Watertown Events Center, Watertown, South Dakota. Amber will represent South Dakota at Miss USA 2023.
Amber succeeds and was crowned by Miss South Dakota USA 2022 Shania Knutson. On winning the state crown, Amber took to her official social media as she thanked everyone and wrote, “Dear South Dakota, I am beyond grateful to be standing here today as your new Miss South Dakota USA. It is an absolute honor to represent this beautiful state and its people. Growing up in South Dakota has taught me the values of hard work, perseverance, and kindness. I am proud to call this place my home, and I am even more proud to represent it on a national stage.”
“I want to thank everyone who has supported me on my journey to this moment. My family, friends, and mentors have been my rock, and I could not have done this without them. To all the young girls in South Dakota, I want to say that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work hard. I hope to inspire and empower you all to chase your dreams, no matter how big they may seem. I am excited for the year ahead and cannot wait to see what opportunities and challenges come my way. I promise to represent South Dakota with grace, dignity, and pride”, she added.
The newly crowned Miss South Dakota USA 2023 Amber Hulse’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Lexus Paulson
2nd Runner-up – Cathyliana Santiago-Nunez
3rd Runner-up – Anna Bonnstetter
4th Runner-up – Jaimye Wininger
Top 10 also included Lizzy Hofer (Bruce), D’aija Wilborn (Eastern South Dakota), Quesa Redstar (Kyle), Hallie Mundt (Minnehaha County) and Arianna Grause (Rapid City).
Also at the finale, Lindsey Pfingston was crwned Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2023 as she became the official representative of South Dakota at Miss Teen USA 2023. Bella Puetz, Stefonna Salomon, Madison Bradberry and Haylee Jankord were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
