Miss Supranational Bahamas organization, through their official social media, announced the designation of Maliqué Maranda as the new Miss Supranational Bahamas 2023 as she became the official representative of Bahamas at Miss Supranational 2023.
Maliqué Maranda is 22 years of age and a financial executive from the island of Grand Bahama. The stunning Bahamian beauty is also an advocate of mental health. Not new to the pageantry, Maranda also holds the title of Miss Teenager Bahamas Universe 2017.
Maranda was a part of the Annual Coconut Fest as the reigning queen. It is a vibrant and captivating event that brings together locals and visitors to celebrate the rich heritage of coconuts in Bahamian culture. From the wide array of coconut themed competitions such as the coconut tart eating competition to the plaiting of the maypole, it was a unique and immersive experience. Not to mention the many local chefs and vendors that came out to showcase their amazing foods, jewelry, and treats.
Bahamas withdrew its participation in Miss Supranational last year. In 2021, Nyisha Tilus represented Bahamas at Miss Supranational 2021 but remained unplaced. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Supranational.
