The organization Misses Of Dominican Republic, led by experts in beauty queens Jorge Cruz and Alejandro Martínez, crowned the new sovereigns of national beauty, in the first edition of the beauty pageant on 3rd October 2021 at the Barceló Bavaro Grand Resort in Punta Cana. Out of the 26 candidates who competed for the titles, Eva Azcona of Santiago was crowned as Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2022 as she succeeded Miss Supranational Dominican Republic Eoanna Constanza.

Eva is 22 years old, stands 172 cm tall and is of an American- Dominican heritage. She came to the Dominican Republic five years ago, where she had to learn Spanish by force. Being from a military family, she has had to learn to adapt and handle new situations due to constant changes.

Eva began modeling at the age of 13, studied Sports Nutrition and identifies as an elegant and empowered woman, which is why she was motivated to be part of Miss of Dominican Republic 2021 and to be crowned as an ambassador of Dominican beauty. Eva is focused on working for children specifically in the feeding of children in the Dominican Republic.

As a message for her successor, the passing queen, Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2021 Eoanna said, “To you my dear Miss Supranational Dom Rep 2022, I hope you appreciate this immense title that will bring you so many beautiful experiences just like me. Count on me to help you wherever you want and enjoy every moment as if it were your last. With God before me, I know that you will continue my legacy of taking our country to the top.”

Eva has the big responsibility to fill the shoes of Eoanna Constanza who secured the fourth runner up position in Miss Supranational 2021, earlier this year. Eva has a year to prepare for the 13th edition of Miss Supranational and bring home the first crown for the country. Miss Supranational 2022 is all set to be held sometime in August next year in Poland. Chanique Rabe of Namibia will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
