The Concurso Nacional de Belleza organization hosted the 2022 edition of the national pageant on 30th April 2022 at the Teatro Sánchez Aguilar in Samborondón where stunning candidates from all over the country competed for the national title and Annie Zambrano was crowned Señorita Ecuador 2022.

Apart from the title, Valery Carabalí was crowned as Miss Supranational Ecuador 2022 and will be representing Ecuador at Miss Supranational 2022. 23 years-old Valary stands 172 cm tall and is a Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer survivor, which affected her health at age 13.

As a student of nutrition and aesthetics, she considers it vital to instill good habits in children to deal with this disease. For her social project, which was applauded at the gala, she worked with Hope of Life Foundation from Guayaquil, to provide children with cancer a shelter where they receive food and psychological support.

She has dedicated several years to this social project, shared the diva. “It motivated me a lot to be the woman I am now, because when you go through difficult situations you have two options, play the victim or motivate yourself to be an inspiration positive for others. Thank God, now I am healthy… And the National Beauty Pageant is an important platform with a greater reach to be able to serve others.”

“I am very happy to wear the name of my country on my chest! Today more than ever I understand that everything that happens in our lives has a purpose. Thank you very much to each of you for believing in me and support me in this dream,” she added.

Valery succeeds Miss Supranational Ecuador 2021 Justeen Cruz for the title, who represented the country at Miss Supranational 2021 last year and finished among the top 24 finalists. Valery will now prepare for her stint as the international platform is all set to return with the 13th Miss Supranational Competition this June and July.
