Helen Demey Matey is Miss Supranational Ghana 2023

Miss Supranational Ghana organization took to their official social media as they announced Helen Demey Matey as Miss Supranational Ghana 2023. Helen will now prepare to represent Ghana at Miss Supranational 2023, which will be held on 14th July 2023.

Helen is 28 years of age who began competing in pageantry in 2013. She is currently the youth MP for Yilo Krobo Municipality and a holder of Bsc Degree in Banking and Finance. She is the first child of four children to a single mother. Helen is a resilient, persistent and determined person. She believes that ‘The Universe falls in love with a stubborn heart’.

 

 

A new crown was also unveiled by the organization. Radiant and regal, the crown symbolizes ‘loyalty and the embodiment of beauty, designed by The Pageant Star and brought to life by one of the best jewelers Ricardo Patraca. It embodies 3 great adinkra symbols namely gye nyame (supremacy of god), Osram ne nnsoroma (moon and stars) harmony and odo nnyew fie kwan (power of love). Lily (national flower of Ghana), Moon and stars bear the colors of our country flag. To the queen that wears this crown, may god be your guide, be filled with lots of love and the significance of these symbols be engraved in your heart like the royal that you are.

Helen Demey Matey succeeds Miss Supranational Ghana 2022 Gifty Boakye who represented Ghana at Miss Supranational 2022 and placed in the Top 24 by winning the fast-track challenges. The country is yet to win Miss Supranational.
