The Miss Supranational USA Organization just announced the appointment of Katrina Jayne Dimaranan as the new Miss Supranational USA 2018. She succeeds Marlene Mendoza of New Jersey who had an amazing reign as Miss Supranational USA 2017. Katrina will now represent the USA in Miss Supranational 2018.
Cece Asuncion, National Director, said “I am beyond ecstatic that Katrina Dimaranan will be the first titleholder under my wing. Katrina has the beauty, the body and personality that embody the Supranational woman. I’m confident that Katrina will win the USA’s first Miss Supranational title.”
Dimaranan is currently a television host and a Business Management student with a Minor in Communications. She will also be appearing in the upcoming reality show, “The People’s Queen”, which is a training boot camp for aspiring beauty queens.
Dimaranan’s appointment represents more than just a title. It is the fulfillment of unfinished business. In 2012, she won a national title in the Philippines but was not given the chance to compete in an international pageant. On December 7, 2018, Dimaranan will finally get that chance at the Miss Supranational Finals to be held in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland.
So far, the USA’s highest placers in Miss Supranational are Allyn Rose (3rd Runner-up in 2014) and Krystelle Khoury (4th Runner-up in 2011).
Dimaranan has been working hard and preparing for this challenge and vows to bring the Supranational crown to the U.S.
