In an official announcement that came in a few hours ago, Fil-Am modeling director Cecelio ‘Cece’ Asuncion was announced as the new franchise owner and the national director of Miss Supranational United States.

Miss Supranational organized by the World Beauty Association from Panama and focuses on natural beauty and grace since 2009.  The current Miss Supranational United States is Marlene Mendoza and the reigning Miss Supranational 2017 is Jenny Kim from Korea.

After his famous stint as the judge of preliminary rounds at Miss Universe 2017, Cece Asuncion, this comes in as another milestone achievement for the Slay Models founder. On being elected as the member of the jury, he exclaimed “It is such a great feeling to be chosen as a Miss Universe judge. For The Miss Universe Organization to choose someone who is a Filipino immigrant and an agent to trans models, it shows that the definition of CONFIDENTLY BEAUTIFUL is truly inclusive.”
 

Cece, a Filipino-American, is an acclaimed personality in the LGBT community has done tremendous work for them. He is best known for directing What’s the T? a documentary that focuses on five transgender women. Slay Model Management also represents and manages transgender talents. For his contribution, he was awarded the Outstanding Filipino American Award for LGBT advocacy.

Asuncion is currently a partner with Joshua Jones and Brian Anderson in Thigh High Productions, LLC. Taking to his official Instagram account Cece announced the news, saying “I have some exciting news to share! Becoming the franchise owner and national director of a major pageant is certainly a big dream come true for me. I am excited to make a young woman’s dream come true in becoming Miss Supranational USA!”
