Tracy Nabukeera marked a significant milestone at the grand finale of Miss Tanzania 2023 held at The Superdome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam on Saturday as she was crowned as the new winner and became the official representative of Tanzania at Miss World 2023.
Tracy bested 20 other contenders to win the coveted national crown. Winning the national crown, Tracy won a 10 million cash prize amount plus a brand-new Mercedes Benz which she will get to use to commute easily pursuing her reigning responsibilities.
Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Dr. Pindi Chana attended the coronation night and named Tracy as the winner. “As the ministry, we are always proud to see that culture and arts activities are forging ahead in the country and I acknowledge the organizing committee plus all sponsors for making this event colourful”, the minister quoted.
Tracy Nabukeera succeeds and was crowned by Halima Kopwe Miss Tanzania for 2022/23. As the winner, Nabukeera will act as an ambassador for Tanzanian culture, beauty, and values in Tanzania as well as on international platforms.
On winning the Miss Tanzania crown, Tracy took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “Let me start by thanking God for blessing me with this honor. And it is good to thank and appreciate the blessings we receive from him and it is more honor to get this opportunity to be Miss Tanzania 2023, and to come to represent my country and unite me more with my fellow Tanzanians.”
"My journey to Miss Tanzania is an OATH of dedication and patience for the entire period within this position. This title also It has shown me that you can be successful in whatever you plan when you put God first, do what you love and put in personal effort. Let me say from the bottom of my heart that I really appreciate the contribution of everyone who was able to help me in any way, whether it was prayer, advice, through social networks, attending a contest or sending messages of good words to give me more motivation", she added.
With her grace, intelligence, and dedication to promoting Tanzanian culture, Tracy will represent her country at Miss World 2023 to be held in India on 9th December 2023 where Karolina Bielawska Miss World 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
