Lluvia Alzate crowned Miss Texas USA 2023 for Miss USA 2023

Lluvia Alzate, representing Houston, was crowned Miss Texas USA 2023 at the state finals held on Saturday, 15th July 2023 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. Alzate will represent Texas at Miss USA 2023.

Lluvia is 26 years of age and of Colombian descent. Lluvia Alzate bested over 90 other competitors to win the coveted state crown. Lluvia is a business administration in finance graduate of the University of Houston and an ALS advocate. This was Alzate’s second attempt at the competition as she finished as third runner-up to R'Bonney Gabriel last year at Miss USA 2022.

 

 

The newly crowned Miss Texas USA 2023 Lluvia Alzate’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Mary Sickler of Northwest Houston

2nd Runner-up – Lillian Claire Perez of San Antonio

3rd Runner-up – Taylor Lauren Davis of Collin County

4th Runner-up – Samantha Havenstrite of Post Oak

 

 

Top 17 also included Gisela Contreras, Bryceidee Leos, Taj Dright, Paris Sierra Beal, Destiny Anbar, Sydney Ying, Preslie Watson, Delaney Davis, Valerie Whiddon, Katharine Alexander, Catherine Ivey, and Elish Young.

Also at the finale, Haylee Elyse Puckett was crowned Miss Texas Teen USA 2023 as she became the official representative of Texas at Miss Teen USA 2023. Amaris Leon, Dylana Estrella, Fernanda Gonzalez and Rebecca Camposano were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
