Devoney Crossman of South Africa crowned Miss Tourism Beauty of the World 2019

The first ever edition of Miss Tourism Beauty of the World i.e Miss Tourism Beauty of the World 2019 was held on 20th October 2019 at El Nido, Palawan where beauties from all over the world competed for the international crown and the conclusion of the event finale, Devoney Crossman of South Africa was crowned the new queen.

The 27-year-old Devoney was crowned by El Nido Mayor Edna Gacot-Lim together with MTBW 2019 Host Chairperson Nanette Leviste. The stunning beauty is a human resources payroll manager from Johannesburg who gave a stunning performance at the contest. She not only radiated confidence and elegance but also answered her question with fluency and intelligence. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

1st Princess – Anne Cherrylyn Apas (Philippines)

2nd Princess – Manussanun Limjanphaphap (Thailand).

The newly crowned queen expressed her happiness on being crowned as she exclaimed, “It exceeded my expectation, inspired by the warm hospitality of the people of Palawan and awed by the pristine, untouched beauty of the province especially El Nido, and by the passion of the locals to promote eco-tourism.”

Even though the turnout was low, the MTBW co- founder Ferdinand Galdones Abejon commented, "Though there were only 8 girls out of the expected 20-plus international delegates for the inaugural edition, they were treated to 17 days that were filled with activities, eco adventures and fun in the most beautiful island in the world.”
