Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2019, 13th edition of the MTMI pageant, will host its finale on 14th December 2019 at Naga World, Phnom Penh, Cambodia where 30 gorgeous participants from all over the globe will compete in the event. This year’s edition will focus on the theme “Bringing Cambodia to the World”.
This pageant is under the same organization (D'Touch) as Miss Tourism International and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International. The award of Miss Tourism Metropolitan International is usually honoured to the runners up in Miss Tourism International pageant and when that doesn’t happen, the organization then hosts its separate pageant named Miss Tourism Metropolitan International. The Miss Tourism Metropolitan International pageant was held twice, in 2007 and 2016. In between these years the 1st or 2nd runners-up in the Miss Tourism International pageants were given the Miss Tourism Metropolitan International titles. This is the third time after those years that the pageant is being hosted again.

The pageant was founded by Malaysian entrepreneur Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi and has only been held outside Malaysia once before in 2016. Because of the success of the event, the organiser has decided once again to hold it in Cambodia, where Naga World is the official hotel for the participants during their entire stay from Dec 1st to 16th, 2019.
According to organiser D’Touch International, the pageant gives an ideal opportunity for delegates of different cultural backgrounds to share, exchange and learn from one another’s experiences. The event is supported by Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and serves as a platform to showcase the Kingdom of Wonder as well as other aspects of tourism and the culture of the host nation.
