Francesca Taruc from Philippines crowned Miss Tourism World Intercontinental 2019

At the grand coronation night of Miss Tourism World Intercontinental 2019 held yesterday in Nanjing, China, Francesca Taruc from the Philippines was crowned the new queen. Winning the first international crown for the Philippines in 2019, Francesca Taruc performed with excellence and dedication at the competition. During the preliminary round of the competition, she also bagged the Best Body Award.

Coming all the way from Pampanga, Francesca Taruc is a model and a blogger aside from being a beauty queen. The 20-year-old holds a degree in Communication from the Holy Angel University. Coming from a family rich with tradition and history, Francesca is a granddaughter of Supremo Luis Taruc, founder of Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Mga Hapon (Hukbalahap), the peasant movement against the Japanese forces in World War II.

At the end of the coronation night, Tatarstan’s and Ukraine’s delegates were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively. Not new to the pageant world, she represented her country at the Miss Freedom of the World 2018 held in Kosovo last July 2018. She was also Miss Teen Earth Philippines 2014.

This win marks another successful year for the Philippines with its first win as the delegates yet again prove the country’s dominance and dedication the pageantry. With her elegance and charm, Francesca definitely proved her worth right from the beginning of the competition.
