Janine Tugonon achieving new heights in modelling

After making a much hyped appearance in an advertisement of Victoria’s Secret Pink collection, Janine Tugonon is in no mood to stop. The former Miss Universe Philippines is aiming for more.

Tugonon is among the 100 candidates selected for the global search for NU Muses. NU Muses is a project of Treats magazine founder Steve Shaw and celebrity photographer David Bellemere. A total of twenty models will be selected via online voting. As per the latest tally of the voting Tugonon ranks second with 5,692 votes as of writing, closely following Jessica Clements with 5,812 votes.

So, did you cast your vote yet? The list of twenty will then be narrowed down to 12 models, with the results to be announced on September 28. The twelve selected models will be photographed by Bellemere for a NU Muses calendar project and will receive $10,000 with the much needed massive exposure.

Tugonon left the Philippines in 2013 to chase her pharmacological studies. She now lives in the United States and is busy with her modelling stints for several brands. Janine’s beauty pageant journey is interesting and something worth mentioning. Janine Tugonon had to join Binibining Pilipinas twice after losing to a friend in 2011. She won herself the title of Miss Universe Philippines in 2012 and went on to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant. Janine is now based in the US and pursuing her dream of becoming a model.
