Pia Wurtzbach Miss Universe 2015 travelled to Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory, on June 24’ 2016, and was welcomed at the Lions Community Centre by the fans in Cayman Islands. The beauty queen visited the island in celebration of Pinoy Pride Independence Month for three days from June 24 to 26.

During her stay, Pia visited various local attractions of the island and spent some leisure time in George Town, Camana Bay and took a trip to Stingray City. The beauty also attended the Pinoy Pride Independence Month concert at the Lions Center together with Filipino actress Bianca King and other special guests. The event was an initiative to let the Filipinos in Cayman Islands see the beauty of Miss Universe; a Filipino pride.

On Saturday, Pia went to see the reigning Miss Cayman Islands Monyque Brooks and the Miss Cayman contestants and shared her experience as Miss Universe.
“This is an amazing opportunity, as our current and past queens will attest to. In addition to finding out more about pageant experiences, I invite the public to come out and meet our Miss Cayman Islands and the reigning Miss Universe from the Philippines,” chairwoman of the Miss Cayman Committee, Ms. Dacres-Lee said.
Wurtzbach previously visited Bali (Indonesia), Canada, Peru and Ecuador as part of her duties as Miss Universe.
