The chances of Philippines hosting the Miss Universe pageant are more likely to come true as the beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach is in Philippines. Pia reached Philippines yesterday as announced by her during a Facebook Live session on Wednesday.
Pia Wurtzbach Miss Universe 2015 is in Philippines
Though the beauty didn’t quite state the reason for her return, it is being said that it will be for Miss Universe talks. She was even asked by one of the Facebook users about where the Miss Universe pageant will be held. Pia said that she’s still waiting for the confirmation about it. “Right now it’s in the works, hopefully, fingers crossed, it’s the one that I’ve been praying for and I guess you know what that is so let’s just hope for the best,” she said.
Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo, who had put forward the proposal, said, “The President agreed that sponsoring the event would be a tourism marketing coup with the Philippines’ Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach at the helm,”. “Sponsoring Miss Universe is our focus right now, with the plan and sources of funding in tow.” She continued.
“It’s not a closed deal yet but i am actively campaigning for it. “All of us in the organization we want the pageant here in the Philippines…We’re trying to find ways on making it happen,” Pia stated in an interview when asked about the possible chance of staging the 2017 Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines.
