As reported to you earlier about the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s scheduled visit to Ecuador, the latest scoop to the news is that the beauty queen reached Ecuador on May 27’ 2016 (Friday).
Pia is in Ecuador to meet the Earthquake victims of the country that affected Machala and Esmeralda. The beauty queen was welcomed by the former Machala mayor Carlos Falquez on her arrival in Guayaquil.

Pia Wurtzbach has been named as honorary volunteer of the Guayas Red Cross and has been invited her to participate in the global appeal of raise resources to build 6,000 homes for the earthquake victims. “I feel that this moment is very close to my heart because we in the Philippines also suffered calamities,” Pia said.

As part of her duties, Pia makes sure to serve well the Miss Universe Organisation advocacies. Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach recently received an award for helping raise awareness on HIV/AIDS at the ceremony held at the Apicha Community Health Center’s A Thousand and One Champions Gala in New York.
