Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is having a jam packed schedule it seems. Recently, the beauty queen announced her to be held visit to Ecuador, and the latest we hear is that the Pinay beauty is all set to travel to Cayman Islands next month.

Her visit will include scheduling of the local organizers’ talk with the MU Organisation about possibly bringing the international beauty pageant to the Cayman Islands. Pia’s stay at Cayman has been fixed between June 24 – 26, wherein Pia will attend the Philippines Independence Month concert featuring Bianca King, and a “meet and greet” for aspiring Miss Cayman contestants.

“The Cayman Islands could be a few years away from being able to host such an event with the additional room stock being developed on the island,” said Matthew Leslie, event director for Cayman Mardi Gras.

On her visit to Cayman, Pia is expected to visit Pedro’s Castle, the Government Administration Building and Government House.

“Anticipating the international coverage, as well as the fact that this visit will be recorded and televised at the next Miss Universe Pageant, organizers are excited for the visit and the exposure it will give the Cayman Islands,” stated a press release from Cayman Mardi Gras.

On organising the Miss Universe pageant in Cayman Islands, Leslie said that at this stage it is just a discussion with the MUO members.  “Right now, we do not have the rooms to host the pageant,” he said. “We would need a couple of thousand hotel rooms just for staff and contestants and everything”.

The meet and greet ceremony of the Miss Cayman Islands is scheduled to be held on June 25’ 2016 at the Lobster Pot, wherein the potential hopefuls will also get to meet the reigning Miss Cayman Islands, Monyque Brooks. The chairwoman of the Miss Cayman Committee,  Ms. Dacres-Lee says, “This is an amazing opportunity, as our current and past queens will attest to. In addition to finding out more about pageantry experiences, I invite the public to come out and meet our Miss Cayman Islands and the reigning Miss Universe from the Philippines.”

Currently, the Pinay beauty queen, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is beaming with joy as she is completing her fifth month as the “confidently beautiful woman in the universe”.
