On October 29’ 2015, the Miss Universe Organisation made a formal announcement regarding the venue of this year’s pageant. The venue decided is something that all ardent pageant followers already knew. The MU Organisation officially revealed that the Miss Universe 2015 pageant will be held in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada on December 20’ 2015.

“We are very excited to announce that the 2015 ?#MissUniverse Pageant will air on Sunday, December 20th on FOX at 7/6c. The pageant is being hosted by the fabulous Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The three-hour event will feature the most beautiful women from around the world, however only one can take home the crown

As announced on September, WME | IMG fully acquired the MUO expanding the company’s range of global events across various entertainment and live events. And as part of IMG’s (new owner of Miss Universe) agreement with FOX to broadcast the Miss Universe, the network will also own the domestic rights to air the Miss USA pageant. David Madden, entertainment president at Fox Broadcasting Company states, “The Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants are iconic television events loved by generations of viewers around the world. We are very excited to partner with IMG and the Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites.”
The preliminary competition date for Miss Universe will be December 16. However, it is not confirmed yet if the national costume show will also be on the same date as the preliminaries.
