Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peterss hometown hummed with stimulation when a local girl turned Miss Universe 2017 returned back to her The Garden Route town. She came to her native place for the very first time after her crowning and the people didn’t hold back while making her seem special.

The whole town came on roads to join the parade ceremony of Demi-Leigh. She waved and greeted all while she was in her car during the welcome parade. The most special segment of the parade was an art set-up categorically made for Demi-Leigh. A place was made for her that contained a huge globe and Miss Universe crown while it also consisted of Demi’s school bench and books.

Demi got really emotional and shared the following post on her Instagram -

She was in high spirits while saying, “I’m incredibly happy to be home even if it is only for a quick visit. They say home is where the heart is, and my heart is here in Sedgefield. So it is lovely to be home around people who have a special place in my heart. I’m a small-town girl and hope I can take a little bit of that small-town girl all over the world.”

Demi is currently busy in Cape Town, Western Cape where she attended an afternoon's welcome home high tea organized CHI hair care. She was also joined by other South African beauty Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss.

It would be exciting to see what more Demi-Leigh has planned for us further in this trip to her home country.
