It’s been just 4 days when Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters received a grandiose homecoming in South Africa as she returned to her country bringing the Miss Universe crown back after a long wait of 39 years. And now that she is back, Demi-Leigh can’t get enough of the fun times. From a grand parade on the streets of The Garden Route town of Sedgefield, her native town to kicking off her Unbreakable campaign in Johannesburg and meeting the former Miss South Africa ladies, she is doing it all.

On 27th January, she also walked on the red carpet of The Sun Met at Kenilworth Racecourse and was seen a hearty time with her pageant sisters Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss and Miss South Africa 2017 Adè van Heerden.

Demi-Leigh wore a beautiful and chic white see-through gown by renowned South African designer Gert-johan Coetzee. Not just she, even Adè adorned a classy cobalt blue Gert-johan Coetzee gown. Rolene also took everyone’s breath away in a custome-made Odette Gomes creation.

Other pageant queen present at the event was Miss South Africa 2011, Melinda Bam adorning a vibrant yellow dress by Ciska Barnard Couture.

Sun Met is a prestigious horse racing event, celebrated with Mumm, epitomises elegance, sophistication, glamour and world-class entertainment. Bearing a proud legacy, Sun Met is a highlight on the equestrian calendar. The biggest names in the South African entertainment industry and race goers across the country attended the event with zeal.

From posing for cameras with her pageant sisters to rubbing shoulders with eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt, Demi-Leigh became the talking point of the event. And why not, she was so confident and poised while chatting around with the A-listers of the South Africa. Like a true queen, she radiated charm and elegance throughout the event.
